In order to decipher THE mystery man, I had to go back to the same formula that helped me understand other ambiguous questions I had yet to understand; complex questions usually have simple answers, and we tend to overlook them. 

 

The answer was yet again, SO SIMPLE! Just think about it:

 

What have JB and Wayfarer been avoiding like the plague? Blake Lively publicly smearing their names.

Let’s think logically. After agreeing to BL’s 17-point demand and still being unable to finalize her actor’s contract with Wayfarer, why would they take the risk of provoking her? If they knew she was capable of launching a full-scale reputational attack, based on 10 months of experience with her capabilities to do so, why would they go to such lengths to anger her—only to sabotage themselves at the premiere? It defies ANY reason.

 

This is precisely why I believe there was never a smear campaign to begin with. This realization also reframed my perspective on Jed Wallace’s role. His sworn declaration—made under penalty of perjury—stating that he did not engage in any smear campaign suddenly made perfect sense. Why? Because it was simple. If no smear campaign existed, there was nothing for him to lie about.

 

 SO I revisited the whole exchange between the PR team and Wayfarer team, to see if my theory tracked. 

 

As seen on pages 169-204, First Amended Complaint filed by Bryan Freedman on 31 January 2025, there’s a clear and relentless effort to SUPPRESS negative stories about BOTH Baldoni and Lively. Which makes sense, because he wanted to protect his name, while not provoking Lively's team.

 

In one of the messages, Melissa Nathan  and Jennifer talk about how they have confused people, and it goes to having different stories where some people talk about the feud, some talk about BL’s marketing campaign, some talk about JB being difficult, while suppressing the TWO ARTICLES, which were mentioned in BL’s complaint. 

 

ARTICLE 1: DAILY MAIL DAILY MAIL ARTICLE, AUGUST 9

August 8, 2024: Leslie Sloane and Melissa Nathan agreed that neither would speak to a reporter without first informing the other. However, just minutes later, LS violated this agreement, defending BL by disparaging JB to the reporter. This was in response to the reporter mentioning that BL was being labeled as difficult.

In an effort to salvage her client’s reputation, LS completely shifted the blame onto JB, claiming that the entire cast disliked him and that it had nothing to do with BL. She then subtly pressured the reporter, warning, “This will not look good for your site.”

Unaware of LS’s actions, MN later shared the same reporter’s request for comment, only to find that LS had significantly altered the narrative in the published story.

Following BL’s CRD complaint, the same DailyMail reporter sent screenshots proving that, it was LS who had communicated with him the “insider” story and that in August JB was “hated by the cast” but now she’s saying BL was SEXUALLY ASSAULTED.

This was the article that gained no traction—a direct result of LS completely throwing JB under the bus in a desperate attempt to salvage BL’s reputation, which was crumbling due to her own actions and those of her team. Which prompted the hiring of JED WALLACE, to suppress a negative story about JB, which could stir up the pot. 

 

In the article, Baldoni is described as “chauvinistic, borderline abusive” “has a dismissive attitude towards Blake” and “his approach was chauvinistic, creating a tense atmosphere on set.”

 

Meanwhile, Stephanie Jones, unaware of the truce between BL and JB’s PR team, was spiraling from losing clients. In a desperate attempt to salvage her standing with the Wayfarer team, she reached out to The Daily Mail to offer a comment, completely derailing their strategy.

 

After realizing her mistake, she tried to make amends with JB and the Wayfarer team, reminding them of their standing contract, all while ignoring the client's explicit request not to speak to any reporters. In response, Wayfarer put her contract on hold, which only infuriated SJ. To clear her name, she turned to LS and her team, where they allegedly concocted a plan to confiscate JA’s phone upon her departure. (pages 144-153)

ARTICLE 2: PAGE SIX PAGE SIX - THE SECOND ARTICLE

 

August 8, 2024:

Jed Wallace is hired as crisis mitigation in the developing campaign to damage Baldoni, including his Bahai faith and Wayfarer. 

 

August 10, 2024:

JA and MN discuss killing the 2 stories where both spoke really badly of JB, which later was attributed to the BL PR team and SJ. 

 

JA was not a stranger to Stephanie Jones' tactics of getting her clients to hire her for crisis pr. Jennifer Abel and Melissa Nathan discuss how they helped to rewrite words within the page six article, to not draw attention to Baldoni. stating that, even though everything that was said in the article was not true, it was still horrible. And Baldoni should realize how lucky he is that neither of those articles were picked up. - Exhibit A, pages 131-133

 

Both of these articles were successfully killed because of Jed Wallace and  rewritten thanks Melissa Nathan.

 

All of the above conversations were on JA's phone, so BL, LS and SJ were well aware at that time that, in fact, there was NO smear campaign orchestrated against her.
